The St. Cassian Pre-Kindergarten Program
Fostering Creativity, Intellectual curiosity,
and /faith-based Learning
Developing a love of learning at an early age is a priority at St. Cassian School. The focus of our early childhood program is on the whole child’s development through fun and motivating learning activities that foster social and academic growth, as well as introduce faith formation.
The preschool curriculum follows a thematic, interdisciplinary approach that incorporates the New Jersey Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards by integrating developmentally appropriate ideas and concepts. Lessons and activities are led by fully certified, talented teachers who create a dynamic and nurturing environment. Overall, the curriculum design encourages and develops confident, independent, critical thinkers, who are prepared for success in kindergarten and beyond.
Highlights of the preschool curriculum include:
- Discovery through play activities that nurture creativity, imagination and build social skills
- Celebrating the uniqueness of each student through a differentiated curriculum addressing individual learning styles
-
Fostering creativity and problem-solving skills through project-based learning and the creation of original work
